From around the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area comes the latest business news and announcements. Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot on Thursday told Bethesda small business owners he’s confident a bill that would require online retailers to collect sales taxes will pass the House of Representatives. A new sandwich shop in Ballston says it will offer 56 trillion possible sandwich combinations. A new study out from website Thumbtack.com and the Kauffman Foundation found the Old Dominion to be the sixth friendliest state for small business growth.
